ATEC Rail Group Limited (ARG) is a specialised below-rail infrastructure developer and manager. We develop commercially-driven open-access rail infrastructure that is designed to connect stranded bulk commodity assets to coastal ports for export.

ARG's unique business model allows new rail infrastructure, or upgrades to existing rail infrastructure, to be developed and operated to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of the pit-to-port supply chain.

ARG’s most significant venture, to date, is the Surat Basin Rail project, a $1+Billion open-access freight rail asset that will complete the coal supply chain from the Surat Basin coal fields to the Port of Gladstone, on Queensland’s central coast. As founder and one third joint-venture proponent in its development, ARG has a unique insight into developing greenfield rail corridors for bulk commodity resources.

ARG’s head office is in Brisbane (Queensland), with offices in Sydney (New South Wales) and Perth (Western Australia).

Since 1997 ARG has been playing a part in furthering Australia’s rail infrastructure needs.
